Here is what our clients say about us and our camps!

Good organisation of program and understanding of the ‘St Aidan’s way’, risk management, interaction with students and communication with teachers.
St Aidan's Anglican Girls School, Year 9 Teacher
Sustainability is always eye opening to all who attend. The way all activities create teamwork, communication, perseverance, courage etc has been gold. They are more like a family now which is gold. Thanks so much.
Glasshouse Christian College, Year 9, Rob Wolsley
A fabulous camp that exceeded my expectations. I found it personally rewarding and I know the girls did too.
Stuartholme School, Year 9 Teacher
The camp is extremely well run, to the extent that staff from Mt Alvernia were able to relax & take comfort knowing the camp instructors were in control. Extremely high standard: Communication, Organisation, Professional approach, Caring, Approachable & Friendly.
Mount Alvernia College, Year 9 Coordinator, Tamara Richardson
The program was fantastic and offered a variety of activities and challenges. The camp out was a big hit too. All instructors were friendly and most followed the program and made the effort to give the best possible experience. Strict safety practices were evident and the hot timed showers worked well at shower time, giving the students some actual free time during the free time period. Domes were spacious and comfortable. I also liked the concept of having only half the cohort at base camp. Thanks for an overall excellent experience.
Immanual Lutheran College, Year 7 Coordinator, Victoria Archer
Just arrived at work on this rainy day to find a lovely surprise on my desk – the camp photos and video. You have missed your calling – the video is fantastic, love the song! ( it’s one of my favourites – and so connected to the whole camp!) You have saved me hours and hours of work – and for that I’m eternally grateful. Cannot wait to share with the girls and our Deputy Principal. Have received a stack of positive emails form parents – so that’s always a great testimony to a successful event. They generally have to be REALLY happy to give any credit! So well done!

I didn’t know anything about Adventure Alternatives until I turned up on camp to supervise and I was blown away by the whole experience. Despite being in uncomfortable situations students worked together to find solutions and come to a peaceful enjoyable space together. Thank you for a wonderful, amazing experience, challenging but worth it.

Faced Fears; rose to challenges; developed sense of team; increased sense of responsibility and care for self, others and the environment.
Immanuel Lutheran College, Year 7 Teacher
Congratulations on a job well done. Thank you for looking after the teachers and catering for our needs.
Stuartholme School, Year 9 Teacher
Camp gave our boys the opportunity to move outside the comfort zone. Realisation that food and energy comes from farming not from the pantry. Gave everyone the opportunity to succeed.
Iona College, Year 8 Teacher, Lynette Pearce
Well run activities, well managed by instructors to engage the students. I think the staff speak and engage well with the students and strike a good balance between support and instruction. The camp provides a great opportunity to experience different types of learning and engage more social and emotional skills. great challenges to get them to move out of their comfort zone.
McAuley College, Year 8 Coordinator, Chris Borg
Camp helped them push through challenges they felt were beyond them. Developed independence and confidence. They are more aware of sustainable habits that are simple to adopt.
St Aidans Anglican Girls School, Year 9 Coordinator, Steve Baker
Bonded well, challenged themselves and became more independent. A lot emerged as leaders.

Client:        Iona College

Camps:      Year 5,6,7,8, and 9

Since:        2017

Description:

We started working with Iona College in 2016 when the school was looking to change the way that it delivered Outdoor Education in the school. We worked with the school to design a sequential multi-year level program utilising their own Outdoor Education Centre and complimenting it with 2 of our centres. With much planning and development of their year 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 camps, we redesigned the program to be progressive and developmental in nature. We spent a lot of time educating the parents, teachers and the leadership team about the level of service we provide and that we truly care about the outcomes we deliver and the experiences we give their children/students.  It is great to see the students growing and developing year on year, to see them embrace the outdoors, look after themselves and guide their own learning. It is a truely amazing experience to see.

Client:      St Aidan’s Anglican Girls School

Camps:    Year 7, 8 & 9

Since:      2007

Description:

We have been working with St Aidan’s Anglican Girls School since 2007 running their Year 9 Camp with the addition of Year 8 Camp in 2017 and Year 7 Camp in 2019 and beyond. All 3 camps are designed to build upon the learnings from previous years and stretch their comfort zones with the outdoors and adventurous activities. Having all 3 camps at different locations, number of days of camp and the styles of accommodation (cabins/tents) also adds a fresh dimension to the experience.  We have fine tuned their Outdoor Education program to be tailored to the ‘St Aidan’s Way’ and the needs of the individual girl’s ability and comfort levels.
