As you’d know, the most successful learning is based on a sound foundation and then a scaffolding approach. We do the same thing by providing programming that is sequential and strategic to ensure each school camp meets the needs of the each participant’s stage of development, age appropriateness of activities and group readiness and then prescribes the most appropriate activities, challenges and adventures. Participants don’t get bored; they don’t burn out or have a mis-adventure from undertaking adventurous activities that are beyond their mental or physical ability. Students will be surrounded by a safe uplifting environment and one that’s sure to stretch their thinking and fast track their learning.
Adventure Alternatives has developed a Whole School Sequential Camp Program from Years 5 to Years 11 which can be neatly dropped into any school to give a holistic approach to Outdoor Education and Schooling.
Adventure Alternatives has mapped the Subjects, Strands and Content Descriptions as outlined in the National Curriculum as they apply to the theme, aims and activities for our Year 5 to Year 11 Camp Programs. How these relate on the ground is provided in our Elaboration in our Staff Manual and the delivery of briefing and debriefing of activities by our instructors.
A detailed outline of what these are is provided in your camp proposal. Our elaborations is supplied as part of our booking process.

" The activities were really fun and helped us to trust our team mates and communicate with them. I enjoyed the camp very much because of the understanding and enthusiastic atmosphere. Camp was amazing. A lot of people complained because that is all they ever do, but if you 'pack your bag of fun', you will have so much fun and have new experiences."

"Thank you for a fabulous experience, My instructor was amazing. I really enjoyed the camp and thought that the challenge by choice was a fabulous theme. The camp gave me a chance to challenge myself, make new connections and try new things. I liked the change of cabins and showers to what we normally have, it was a fun experience that not many people get to have."

"I enjoyed the camp very much, while I probably wouldn't do it by choice, I enjoyed the activities, as they were challenging and rewarding. Was pretty good walking on the hike with all the lads. Improved friendships that i don't normally have and it allowed me to recollect my thoughts. The hiking was a great experience and good to leap out of my comfort zone."
